Tru-Trac Lure Co. announces the introduction of one of the most versatile lures ever created with the new Double Shot series.
We have had a series of molds made of various weights and have had them made in such a manner that a 5/0 spinner bait hook will go all the way through the head of the lure. Where the wire would come out now has the ring eye of the spinner bait hook. At this stage we fabricated a spinner bait wire (Harness) the same slightly smaller than a conventional spinner bait and put various types and styles of spinner blades on the harness. The only thing moving back and forth is the spinner bait head and skirt: not the entire lure. the spinner bait has a series of the best catching colors of spinner bait skirts available (and did I mention we also make the spinner bait skirts to, so if there is a color we don't have, just ask) and now you have a new spinner bait that you can change the head and skirt off and put new colors to fit the conditions without changing the entire spinner bait wire form.
The Double Shot can actually be four lures in one: a spinner bait, buzz bait, swimming jig (just tie your line directly to the spinner bait head), and of course the new pulse bait. Another of the unique features of this lure is that when a bass or any other specie of game fish hits it, it is less likely that the fish will spit the lure as the only part of the spinner bait moving back and forth is the head and skirt (not the hole bait). We have never had a fish spit this lure on any fish we have caught since we have been testing it, but that's not to say it couldn't happen.
We have also designed a buzz bait harness that you can take and clip the spinner bait head on, now to have the versatility of having a complete buzz bait. One of the nicest features we have had come back to us from other fishermen is that you can actually retrieve the buzz bait slower than any other buzz bait in the market, therefore keeping it in the strike zone longer. Again, the buzz bait head is the only thing pivoting on the harness making it almost impossible for the fish to spit the lure.
We have created a six pack of lures in the spinner baits where you have six different spinner bait heads and skirts and six different spinner bait harness (all with different blade combinations). The spinner bait weight is 3/8 oz.
The cost of these Double Shot Kits are $46.95 per box retail. This will allow you to create 36 different combinations (excluding the Pulse baits) which actually nets the unit cost down to $1.30 ea. That's a pretty good price for premium baits, don't you think?
Additional spinner and buzz harnesses are sold separately for $3.95 each with the extra head and spinner bait skirt for $2.95 each. Trailer type skirts are available on all lures for an additional $0.25 each (they come included on the Pulse baits).
